Baking Soda and Water
Mix a small amount of baking soda with Water to form a paste. Brush your teeth with the paste for 1 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water. It is a mild abrasive, which means it can help remove surface stains from the teeth. When used properly and in moderation, baking soda can be a safe and effective option for improving the brightness of your smile.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Dilute apple cider vinegar with water (1:2 ratio). Swish the mixture in your mouth for a few minutes. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. Note: Due to its acidity, use this method sparingly to prevent enamel erosion.
Practice oil Pulling
Swish a tablespoon of coconut oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes. Spit out the oil and rinse your mouth thoroughly. Oil pulling may help reduce bacteria in the mouth and promote oral health. Oil pulling is not a quick-fix solution that will whiten your teeth overnight. It may take weeks or months to see any effects on teeth whiteness.
Use hydrogen peroxide
Take a small amount of the hydrogen peroxide solution and swish it around in your mouth for about 30 seconds to 1 minute. Be careful not to swallow the mixture. While hydrogen peroxide can effectively whiten teeth, excessive use or leaving it on your teeth for extended periods may cause harm to your tooth enamel and gums.
Strawberries and Baking Soda
Mash a ripe strawberry and mix it with a pinch of baking soda to form a paste. Apply the paste to your teeth and leave it on for 5 minutes. Brush your teeth and rinse thoroughly. Note: The malic acid in strawberries may help remove surface stains.
Brushing and Flossing
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush that can effectively clean your teeth without damaging the gums or tooth enamel. Floss your teeth at least once a day. Flossing helps remove food particles and plaque from between the teeth and below the gum line, where a toothbrush cannot reach.
