Common Vastu Shastra Tips You Should To Follow

Vastu is a scripture of ancient India in which detailed information is given regarding Vaastu (house) construction. The principle of Vastu Shastra is to maintain balance in nature. There are diverse forces in nature including water, earth, air, fire and sky. There is an interaction between these forces, which has a wide-ranging impact on every living being on this earth. According to Vastu astrology this process has a wide impact on our performance, nature, destiny and other aspects of life. Vastu Shastra is a mixture of art, science, astronomy and astrology. Here are some general Vastu Shastra tips in terms of direction of bedroom, furniture, decor selection, main entrance etc.

Many people consider Vastu Shastra and Astrology to be the same, but let us tell you that both of them complement each other. Actually, Vastu is one of the oldest disciplines of India, which deals with directions and energies. In this, depending on the directions, the negative energies present around that particular place are made positive in such a way that they do not have adverse effects on human life. Vaastu Shastra has also been used in the construction of Egyptian pyramids, buildings and houses built during the Mughal period.

Vastu Shastra Tips For Home

In Vastu Shastra, many rules have been given regarding the happiness, peace and prosperity of any house. Whether you live in a bungalow or a small house, these Vastu tips can prove to be very beneficial for you.

Vastu Shastra Tips for the Main Entrance Doorway

According to Vastu Shastra, the main gate of the house is not only a place to enter but also a source of energy. From where negative and positive energy enters the house.

If you want happiness, peace, prosperity, wealth and prosperity in your house then follow some rules of Vaastu while making the main door and protect the house from negative energy.

“North and East directions are most suitable for the entrance of the house.”

The main entrance should also be higher and bigger than other doors i.e. the size of the main door of the house should always be bigger than the other doors inside the house.

While opening the main door, neither make any sound nor rub anything. Such a door always causes financial loss and inauspiciousness.

Keep a Tulsi plant near the main door. This removes Vaastu defects and negative energy does not enter the house.

There should not be stairs in front of the main entrance and if possible, stairs should be built at the beginning and end.

There should not be any obstruction right in front of the main entrance. The presence of trees, pits, electric poles etc. in front of it causes perforation, which hinders the progress of the people living in the house.

Vastu Shastra Tips for the Bedroom

If we talk about master bedroom then it should be in the right place from Vastu point of view. This room of the house is in the south-west direction. It is good if you are the main person in the family here in the bedroom.

  • Never put a poster of a sinking ship in the bedroom.
  • Never place a bed under a beam. The ray is a symbol of separation. If this is not possible, a flute or wind chime should be hung below the beam.
  • According to Vastu, always sleep in the south or east direction, so that you can get long life and deep sleep as per the magnetic field of the earth.
  • The bed of unmarried girls and guests should be in the north-west direction. Because this direction is related to traffic.
  • Do not keep a temple in the bedroom, and also keep in mind that there are no pictures of ancestors on the wall.
  • Electrical appliances should not be kept in the bedroom. The fire direction of the house (South and East direction) is best suited for electrical appliances or things related to electricity.
  • Also, keep in mind that you mop the bedroom with salt water.
  • If there is a dressing table in the bedroom, then keep in mind that your reflection does not fall on the mirror while sleeping. If yes, cover the mirror.

Living Room Orientation

Vastu influenced by Shastra suggests certain directions and locations for various elements in the living space to increase positive energy flow.

East, north, or northeast-facing living rooms are considered auspicious as they allow for the entry of natural sunlight, which is associated with positive energy.

An alternative option is a north-west-facing living room, which is also considered favorable.

Heavy furniture is recommended to be placed in the west or southwest direction of the living room. This is believed to provide stability and support.

Electronics and appliances are suggested to be installed in the southeast section of the living room. Southeast is associated with the fire element in Vastu, and placing electronics here is believed to balance energy.

If there is a mirror in the room, it is advised to be placed on the north wall. The north is associated with prosperity in Vastu.

Conclusion

These guidelines are based on cultural and traditional beliefs and are not scientifically proven. People may choose to follow Vaastu principles for personal or cultural reasons, but it is always a good idea to also consider practical aspects and personal preferences when designing a living space. If you are not familiar with or follow Vaastu principles, you can choose an arrangement that suits your lifestyle and preferences.
