Crown Chakra Yoga is a practice that focuses on balancing and activating the crown chakra, known as Sahasrara (Thousand-Petaled Lotus), the Shunnya (Void, Emptiness), and the Niralambapuri (Place Without Support).
Sahasrara is located at the top of the head and is associated with spiritual connection, a state of enlightenment, Ecstasy, bliss, higher consciousness, self-realization, and the understanding of universal truths.
The Crown Chakra is the gateway to spiritual awakening and connection to the Divine. It encourages the awareness of our higher consciousness, the awareness of universal wisdom, and the awareness of the oneness of all beings. It is associated with the qualities of deep peace, spiritual bliss, and non-duality. Practices such as yoga, meditation, asanas, and self-reflection are important to maintain the balance of this chakra. Through these exercises, we conceptualize higher states, develop continence and assimilate spiritual experiences.
When the Crown Chakra is imbalanced, it can manifest as detachment from spirituality, agitation, closed-mindedness, or difficulty or inability to integrate spiritual experiences. Physical symptoms may include headaches, migraines, or neurological disorders.
