Asthma Mudra

Mudra is a form of yoga which is popular and well-known since ancient times in India. This sign language of currencies is not only used in yoga and meditation. In addition, postures are also used extensively in the treatment of many diseases. According to Hastha Mudra therapy, the secret of health is hidden in the postures made with fingers of hand and hands. Such as Asthma Mudra for an asthma attack.

Making special types of shapes with 10 fingers of hands is called hand Gestures or Mudra. Five elements are present in all the fingers of the hands such as the fire element in the thumb, the air element in the index finger, the sky element in the middle finger, the earth element in the ring finger, and the water element in the finger ring.

Meaning Of Asthma Mudra

According to Ayurveda, breathing disorders or enlarged Kapha cause obstruction of airflow in the lungs, which causes difficulty in breathing. It is caused by increased intake of Vata and phlegm, internal weakness of lung tissue, and various diseases affecting the lungs. The most important posture in the context of treating such disorders is Asthma Mudra.

The asthma posture activates the points in the palms and fingers that are connected to the lungs and chest.

Asthma Mudra is a special mudra for relaxing the problems of asthma attack by regular practice of this mudra helps in reducing the harmful effects of asthma.

Steps To Do Asthma Mudra Posture

Asthma Mudra is associated with the level of Asthma attack. it is a yogic hand gesture that is one of the easiest mudras to perform. The middle finger is the symbol of the sky that takes care of the heaven element in the body. It can be done anytime and anywhere. There are some simple steps that will explain how to do this Asthma Hasta Mudra:

The steps are outlined below-

  • First of all, seat down in a meditative pose and place the hands with palm pointing upwards on the thighs or the knees.
  • Meditation postures like PadmasanaSiddhasanaSwastikasanaVajrasana, etc. are ideal for the practice of mudras.
  • Your back is held straight plus your chest moreover heads seized up high.
  • Close your eyes and take some deep breaths with the awareness of the breathing process.
  • Now bend the middle finger (middle finger) of both your hands and bring them to the root of the fingers, so that the nails of both fingers touch each other.
  • Now keep the position of both middle fingers (middle finger), pressurize each other.
  • Keep in mind, while doing this, the rest of the fingers should be straight and the palms do not stick together.
  • Removing all thoughts from the mind has to focus the mind only on OM.
  • Do not decrease or increase the speed of breath from your side. Perform this pose for 30 minutes at a stretch every day or for 10 minutes three times a day.

Asthma Mudra Benefits

  • You can also practice Asthma mudra to get relief from asthma problem. Actually, this type of yoga pose is considered helpful in increasing body temperature.
  • Also, it protects the respiratory system from cold, cough, colds and stiffness.
  • The asthma Hasta mudra activates the points in the palms and fingers that are connected to the lungs and chest.

Best Time and Time Duration

Of course, All mudra is very effective when you do the mudras between 4-6 AM. because at this time you can get a silent and calm environment, that is the most required for any mudra and yoga.

Practice it daily in winter or when the weather changes, then 30 minutes will give you good results. Practicing this mudra in the morning and in the evening is more fruitful. Asthma hand posture can be practiced in the morning and evening for 10-12 minutes.

This can be done on an empty stomach or after eating food. But for better results, it should be practiced on an empty stomach.

To an excellent, the best and efficient results, make sure you practice regularly for two months.
