Kalesvara Mudra

Kaleshwar Mudra is such a hand mudra, which gives us mental peace and relaxation. You can practice this hand mudra at any time of the day. If you do this mudra for 15 to 20 minutes daily for a few weeks then you will feel a good change in yourself.

Kaleshwar Mudra is dedicated to Lord Kaleshwar (synonym of Shiva) who is the “Lord” or “God” of Kaal or “time”. That is one who reigns over time and is known as the Lord of Time.

Especially this mudra awakens a positive attitude by changing the wrong habits within you. This is a hand gesture. It is quite capable in itself to fill the circulation of energy by reducing the stress level of your body. How to Do Kaleshwar Mudra

  • First of all, you should spread a mat or yoga mat on the ground.
  • Make sure that your spine is straight.
  • Bring both hands in front of the chest and keep the elbows open.
  • The middle finger of both hands should touch each other.
  • The first two pairs of forefingers, ring finger, and little finger should touch each other and should be facing inwards
  • The thumb tips of both the hands should touch and they should point towards the chest.
  • Maintain this posture position in front of the chest.
  • Keep your eyes closed and breathe normally.
  • Keep your mind focused on your breathing rate and posture.
  • While doing the mudra, you need to take a deep and regular breath.
  • You can chant mantras while listening to soothing music while doing this mudra. You can also chant Om.
  • While doing this mudra, inhale and exhale about 20 to 30 times.
  • You will feel a sudden vibration in your body, after reaching a position your body will start feeling light.
  • While doing this, you need to be focused and do this asana. Only after that, you can feel the energy in your body.
  • Stay in this state for at least 10 to 15 minutes.
  • After the prescribed time of practice, slowly open your eyes.
  • Separate your hands and bring them back to your thighs or knees.
  • It can be done on an empty stomach or after a meal. But for better results, it should be practiced on an empty stomach.
