Once there was a war between the gods and the demons when Jaldhara went to war and she sat in worship with a resolution to win.
Meanwhile, Lord Vishnu took the form of Jalandhar and reached Vranda’s home. Seeing them, she left the resolution in the middle. As soon as his resolve was broken, the gods killed Jaldhara in the war and dropped his head into her palace. And after losing her husband’s war, she became Sati with his head.
