Apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal properties, which cleanse your hair and scalp along with the skin. The acids present in it have antibacterial and antifungal properties, which help to exfoliate the dead skin cells from our scalp. It also balances the pH level of the scalp and reduces skin related dandruff and itchy scalp.

Tips – To remove itching of the head, put 1 lid of apple cider vinegar in a mug and mix equal four parts of hot water in it. Now massage the hair and scalp with this mixture and wash the hair after 10 minutes. Do this 2 times a week.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil proves to be very helpful in reducing the problem of itching. In fact, naturally ripe coconuts contain lauric acid, a saturated fat, which makes it a soothing treatment for an itchy scalp. It can also be helpful in combating head lice and moisturizing the scalp.

Tips – To get relief in itching of the head, heat coconut oil lightly and massage it by applying it on your scalp and hair. For better results, you can mix a few drops of Vitamin E oil in coconut oil. Do this at least 2-3 times a week.

Tea tree oil

Tea tree oil has natural antifungal, anti-bacterial and antiseptic properties, which relieves problems like dandruff and itchy scalp. Along with this, its use gets rid of flakes and dryness on the scalp. Its anti-inflammatory effect can irritate the skin so it is important to dilute it. Tea tree oil should never be consumed.

Tips – mix 10 to 20 drops of tea tree oil in baby shampoo and apply it to the hair, mix it with olive oil and massage it directly into your scalp. Use it every single day.

Baking soda

As mentioned above, an itchy scalp can also be caused due to fungal infection. At the same time, antifungal properties are found in baking soda, which can help protect the scalp from fungal infections. Its direct effect can be used to remove itching of the head.

Tips – Make a paste by adding baking soda and water to a bowl. Apply this paste to the scalp and leave it for half an hour. Finally, wash the hair with shampoo. This remedy can be used once a week.

Curd

Curd proves to be very beneficial in removing itching of the head. Naturally, curd can be used as medicine, and scientific evidence is also available for this. By applying curd to the hair, the hair becomes long, thick, soft, and beautiful. It also gets rid of the itchy scalp.

Tips – For this, take half a bowl of sour curd and apply it well in the hair and on the roots of the hair one hour before washing the hair. Leave it on for an hour, then wash the hair with shampoo. Use it two to three times a week.

Peppermint oil

Peppermint oil can also be used to remove itching of the scalp. This oil has been found to have antifungal and antimicrobial activity. This activity may be effective in soothing the itchy scalp due to fungal infections. Try another oil, such as olive oil, and massage it into the scalp before shampooing.

Note – Some people have a sensitive scalp, which can have side effects. So, try using only 1 drop first. If you feel any discomfort, do not apply it on the head.

Ketoconazole shampoo

Kenozole Shampoo is a combination of two antifungal medicines which treat dandruff. Zinc pyrithione also reduces yeast growth, kills the fungi that cause infection, and relieves itching and burning.

It reduces Malassezia yeast growth, which can cause Malassezia folliculitis or scalp psoriasis.

Kenozole Shampoo is meant for external organs only and should be used as advised by the doctor. To get the maximum benefit from it, this medicine should be used regularly. Do not overuse, it can only increase the side effects. Shampoos are readily available in drug stores and other retail outlets.
