Yoga Mudras For Digestion

There are mainly three of air inside the body, which are known as Prana, Vyana, and Apana. Some yoga mudras can provide benefits on all these three airs. Apart from this, most importantly it activates the organs related to your digestive system (liver, stomach, gall bladder, intestines, etc.).

Pushan Mudra

Pushan Mudra is a symbolic position, in which the hand and fingers are in different positions. You must have seen such postures while painting or dancing. By practicing it continuously, you also get a lot of energy. Let us tell you that there are three types of air in the body, which are prana, vyana and apana. Pushan mudra provides benefits in all these three Pranas in our body.

To do Pushan Mudra, first sit in Padmasana. Place both your hands on your thighs. During this the palms should be towards the sky. After this, press the tips of the thumb, forefinger and middle fingers together with the right hand. Keep both the other fingers straight. Simultaneously, join the tip of the middle and ring the fingers of your left hand with the thumb. Keep the spine straight in this position. Take a deep breath and meditate.

The practice of Pushan Mudra provides relief in flatulence, nausea and post-meal conditions. Gastric problems can also be eliminated by this. After eating food, you can sit on your feet and keep your hands on the thigh and sit for a while. And also activates the Solar Plexus Chakra.

Prana mudra

Prana mudra pacifies the excessive fire of pitta. According to Ayurveda, the balance of pitta in the body is essential. Because it affects the digestive system.

For practice Prana Mudra. First of all, sit in Padmasana or Vajrasana. Now join the tip of your ring finger and little finger with the tip of the thumb. Keep the middle and index fingers straight. You can do this mudra for 10 minutes, take long deep breaths and meditate during it.

It is not a substitute for medical problems but can prove beneficial for curing physical, mental and spiritual issues. Prana Mudra is one of the most important mudras as it helps in increasing the amount of energy in the body.

Surya Mudra

As it is traditionally known, Surya Mudra represents the fire element. By doing this mudra, the fire energy is activated in the body and by sitting in such postures, the fingers make a connection and facilitate the flow of energy in the body.

The fire element present in Surya Mudra is known to improve digestion by increasing metabolism in the body. Its regular practice can go a long way in reducing obesity.

To do Surya Mudra, sit in Padmasana in a comfortable position. You have to keep your spine straight. After this, you have to straighten both your hands and keep them on your knees. Now join the ring finger of both your hands with the thumb, place the ring finger under the thumb in it. Keep all the other fingers of the hand straight. Focus your attention on your breath. You have to do this for 5 to 10 minutes every day.

By regular practice of Surya Mudra, strength is created in the body and stomach diseases are removed. Along with this, mental stress is removed by its practice and fear, grief etc. Surya mudra is very beneficial, especially for women who have increased obesity after childbirth. Because the practice of this mudra improves the digestive system.
